I like Obama. Really. But just can't stand hearing his name anymore. Everyday someone's talking about him. Just today heard a guy telling kids to study hard so they can grow up to be like Obama & had to listen to two different songs about Obama... "I'm an Obama baby" & a rap "Black man in the White House; Obama's in the White House". And he's taken over the theaters! Every theater's now playing "Obama" the movie. (Not to be confused with "Obama: The Musical".) And his image is everywhere! Half the moving vehicles in town are plastered with his mug shot. Like I said, like him. But he's become like a train wreck... I don't want to see or hear anything about him but just can't turn away. I'm strangely tempted to see this movie. And... think I'm staying in Kenya a little longer for him. Had my follow-up appointment with the eye doc & since the medicine's working, I'm now free to leave Kenya. It's been almost 3 months... I NEED to leave Kenya! But... think I wanna stay for Obama's inauguration. Even considering going to his father's village for the event. Think I've hit a new low. Tags: Kenya politics |
